Bad Points

No alarm, T9 text input - hey! this model arrived over 2 years ago!

General Comments

I part exchanged a c12 for £15 and got this for £14.99 brand new from carphone warehouse. It is on new cellnet pay and go which is best prepay package on market, offering calls from just 2p! just ahead of orange. I wanted to get one of these for some time as it is 2 years old and will not be in production for too much longer. This fone is £79.99 on orange in some web shops. Not widely available although Morrisons are selling them for £29.99 on Orange which is excellent value. Only other place you will find it is Carphone warehouse exclusive to them.
It has a classic design and is very solid and chunky. It feels compact in my hand and easy to use. I cannot understand when mags complain about personality menu as the quick access menu makes it simple and quick to use. Keypad is chunky and rubberised, very nice to use. This phone is a little bigger and heavier than new breed of phones but after using my philips genie at 99 grams, this feels much more the part. Shame about lack of alarm and t9 text but it is 2 years since release. I am surprised at motorolas lack of an update/follow up for such a stylish and ruggedly designed phone. They should have made new wap version with alarm/diary and T9 instead of producing the abominations which are the t2288 and v2288 - so horrid!! A cult phone produced by a company renowned for reliability.
