A great little car, the second that I have owned. The first never so much as blew a bulb in two years. Comfortable enough and better leg room in the back than many small cars, it is fine for four adults. The boot is, as you would expect, tiny but with the 60/40 seats folded it becomes a small 'van' and will take even the result of a trip to Ikea. Power sterring and small wheels make for very easy parking and it is a terrific city car, returning about 43mpg round town and 50mpg on motorway crusing. Reliability has been good with only the usual tyres (2), exhaust and battery being required 43000miles. The cam belt is also easy to change with no special tools needed. The downside is that it is not rated to have a towbar fitted and performance will disappoint when fully loaded, but then there are motorcycles fitted with bigger engines. Provided you don't want to do thousands of motorway miles every month the Matiz is thoroughly recommended and a terrific little car.
