extremely high quality, gold finished, uniqe remote control, excellent sound, easy to operate, Dolby prologic 2, DTS Neo 6.1, only few models have the same features as Denon and Marantz but all of tham are over 3000$. Sony is the best value for the best money on the market now for 2002.
Bad Points
Cannot switch the screen 100% off, the dimmer makes that on 30%
General Comments
The Sony STR-VA555ES is one of the best recievers. I can say better than sony STR-777ES, cos it has the latest options: DTS NEO, Dolby Prologic 2 - plus this home receiver is the model for 2002.
