“We just stayed with another couple and their baby in...”

We just stayed with another couple and their baby in longleat center parcs in a 3 bedroom lodge with sauna.

As we went in early feb we had a great deal and only paid £185 per family for the accomodation.

We have an 11 yr old, 3 yr old and 10 month old and their baby is 10 months so 4 children altogether.

We had a FAB time!!

We are on a budget, people go on about how pricey center parcs is but it is what you make it and as fun as you want it to be.

The pool was amazing, we even caught the photographer at the pool and he took some under water photographs of all of us for £12 for 3 photos which i think is a bargain!

The pool was fab, place was lovely and clean.

We did a big asda shop before we went and then topped up in morrisons which is close by. Parc market is pricey imo.

Make sure you are prepared and you will not have to spend much if you make a deal to the kids of how fun swimming and cycling are.

My tips on a budget... :-)

*Take a thermous with hot choccie/ tea/ coffee

*Torch

*Swim every day... swimming under the stars was beautiful

*Enjoy cycling

*Take some cake mixes for the kids to occupy them for the hours you want to be in the lodge

*Take some chocolate coins for a treasure hunt in your woodland garden (we fed the birds bread and they left chocolate coins an hour later to say thank you)

*Take a tea set for a teddy bear picnic in your woodland garden

*Take lots of carton drinks so you don't have to spend money there. We bought lots in lidls so about 10 for £1.50 instead of 1 drink for £1.50!

*GLOVES!!

*Try and book between Jan - March for the cheapest deals.

*IF there is a problem then let them know! We managed to wrangle £75 of dinner vouchers because our oven wasn't working very well. We had a wonderful indian takeaway on the last night to celebrate on them LOL.

HAVE FUN, IT WAS OVER FAR TOO QUICKLY!!!!!!!!

Our only gripe was how rubbish the maid was, she didn't change our bins, didn't make our beds, didn't hoover, infact the only thing she did do was clean the crappy oven! I certainly wouldn't recomend paying extra for the maid service.

We are doing almost exactly the same holiday this feb and I really wanted to know how the whole 'having your own sauna' worked out for you . I've booked one as a treat but now wondering if it was worth the extra?
