I was given these headphones for my birthday. I already own a pair of Sennheiser HD 407, which are approximately in the same price band, so I can now compare them. In my opinion, Sony looks better but the sound is not as brilliant as Sennheiser's. On the other hand, the sound is more balanced than Sennheiser's, that instead feature a heavy bass-driven sound; in addition, it hardly becomes distorted. I would suggest Sony MDR-X200 if you're searching a cheap pair oh headphones at a low price.
