The AVR1905 is very capable of delivering fine detail and real sound image. This receiver is suitable for small & medium rooms although it has 80 watts power per channel, but might be too slow when installed in bigger soundstage.
As compared to the new brother AVR1910, yes, I already own AVR1910 as my second setup, this existing AVR1905 still has fantastic sound image and crisp, also good performance in stereo, but only dont has HD audio.
Please note that some weakness in AVR1905, it cannot turn off the RDS (Radio Data System) when you find the text annoying from radio station, and doesn't has bi-amping feature. But if you can find good speakers and proper room installation, just sit back and enjoy.
