General Comments

We have owned a Bosch Dishwasher for 6 years and the timer has had to be replaced twice, after 3 years and again now. Would not purchase with rotary timer again.

    I have just fixed a problem with a Bosch rotary timer that I believe existed from when we had the dishwasher.
    The drain pump just kept on pumping and the machine would not advance to the next part of the cycle.
    Initially, when we had it new about 4 years ago it did the same. The Bosch engineer blamed it on the brand of dishwasher tablets we were using (generating too much foam). Well, the problem went away and we never thought anything more about it until it reappeared recently.
    I discovered a broken wire on the timer was being held in place (it should have been spot welded to a spade connector, but had broke off at the weld) by its own spring tension.
    Obviously it is out of warranty, but I would have expected the engineer that we called out initally to diagnose the fault.
