Great alarm, design and build quality. Good value payed £169 at homebase. possible problem is fitting. do not beleive the jokers in these reviews who fitted it in 3 hours. Took me most of the weekend to fit one for my daughter. Problem is complex programming easy to get lost. Also time depends on availability of power and phone lines to feed the control panel. You need a good set of ladders plus cord less drill for fitting siren 20 foot from floor. Pity the Yale help line is not open weekends also they do not beleive in slotted holes which would make drilling in masonary easier. Be care ful with the siren best to wear ear defenders when dealing with it. Overall a super product The optional extre key fob made it a dream to use for my daughter . Great wotk Yale.

I found this review very helpful because...Its nice to see someone actually being realistic, ie it could take someone 3 hours alone to actually get the phone line to the location of the new control module.
I have had the old version of this Yale alarm now for ooow the best part of 7 years and i have never had any problems AT ALL with it. The microphone on the controller has now finaly given up the ghost and rather than put up with part of the system not functioning 100% i am actually going to buy this new ver, If any improvements have been made whatsoever then i know i will be entirely happy with it, I am actually quite looking forward to playing around with the new one truth be told as the mains cable and phone line are already in the correct place so not too much hassle apart from the obvious ladder expedition.
Thanks for your honest review Guest.

I guess this depends on your ability and location of tel line and power, but honestly, I did this in one hour.
