When you first take out insurance, it's great value for what you get. But I have only had two dealings with them now I am at the end of my first year - when I was looking around, I got a call from MoreThan and they told me they were much better and would beat the price. When I called M&S to say that I may cancel, the lady in customer services was not happy with me, I felt like I was wasting her time! She slated MoreThan (but eventually told me the crucial different - amount per condition, and amount per year for life) so I let it go. Now I'm at the end of the first year - no claims, but premium gone up by over £70. I'm told due to the age of the dog, where I live and the huge increase in vet bills across the UK. My original price was due to a customer discount, as if I do a new quote online, I get the price I paid last year. So, actually, my premium has not changed, I purely got a discount - so why tell me about factors which haven't changed the premium at all? I took M&S because I want my dog to be ultra covered for anything which happens - but I didn't claim 3 times this year for fear of pushing up the premium, wish I had! However, on the plus side, I am free to leave them now, they do not have anything on me! Haven't decided if I will yet though...
