I have read the Shopaholic series by the same author and although the stories are good, the character was wearing thin for me. This totally new story is a refreshing change.
This is essentially a ghost story, but mixed with chick lit in a way that provides the real-life feel and experiences of chick lit but gives the story some unexpected turns and keeps you guessing. I found this story very compelling. The characters are very well developed through the book, and the key characters are suitably likeable.
As the ghost is a member of the heroine's family, the book explores family relationships and how the elderly are treated in a very sensitve and thought-provoking way.
The story is funny, romantic and thrilling. This is an excellent book.
