Hello, I went to the R.S.P.C.A (tameside and Glossop) website in search of a cat who needed adopting. I booked an appointment with Doris ( cat kennel supervisor) over the telephone and arrived at the 'mypetstop' shelter 2 days later with a list of cats to look at. I was amazed 'Mypetstop' was like a gym for animals! There was a swimming pool for dogs, doggy day care, obedience and agility training and lovely boarding kennels for dogs, cats, birds and small animals. Not forgetting the massive pet shop!



We met up with Doris and she showed us to the cat pens. They were safe clean cosy kennels all lined up in rows

Each kennel had a scratching post, toys, a garden chair with cushion, a litter tray, a food bowl, a blanket , a bed on top of a ledge, air conditioning for summer and heating for winter.

Additionally there is 2 doors separating the kennel: one for access from outside hallway, and the second to close at night so the cat does not get cold this door has a cat flap in case the cat wants to go out at night.

It has everything a cat could want!





The cost of adopting a cat from the RSPCA is much cheaper than a kitten/cat from a neighbour or newspaper ad.



The cost of adopting a cat/kitten from the RSPCA including:

*Flea and worm treatment

*Basic health check by a veterinary surgeon

*Vaccinations against Flu and Enteritis

*Neutering and Microchipping

*Dietary advice and backup help



Total adoption fee = £45



When we adopted our cat Tetley we had to have a house check to see if our house is suitable for a cat to live safely in.

We passed the house check so we took him home the next day :)
