Gotta admit, I was a skeptic. How would reading a book help me kick the habit? And, to boot, I smoked because I WANTED to smoke, because I enjoyed it! I wasn't even sure I wanted to quit, but was feeling pressure from family and friends....
It took me a bit to get used to Carr's writing style, and the first few chapters are sort of a hard read. But quarter of the way through the book, I was hooked. You mean I *DON'T* really enjoy smoking? Wow.
This book changed my life - smoke free since July 5/09 and zero regrets, not one puff, and no plans to ever light up again.
I owe my life to Allen Carr.
