Indesit UFAN400 Review

I bought an Indesite UFAN 400 Upright freezer to replace a very old chest freezer. I shopped around to find one I could keep in my garage. I was told by the Store (Comet) that the Indesit UFAN400 was ideal, I also asked to see the manual to check this out. There is nothing in the manual regarding room temperatures !



A friend told me that this freezer cannot be kept in a garage as the temperature has to be +10 - 38 deg. I rang Indesit and they confirmed this so we decided we would move it.



I rang for information on how best to move this up one step and along a hallway and I was asked why do you want to move it ?



I replied that I was told I could not keep it in the garage as its not heated. The lady at Indesit looked it up and said that the ideal Ambient Room temperature guidleine for this freezer is 2 - 38 deg so I did not have a problem,



I e mailed and asked for this in writing and I received an e mail back saying I had been mis-informed by Comets and by Indesit and that the room temperature must not drop below 10 deg !, as the guarantee would not be valid !



So beware, anybody that has bought one for their garage or outbuilding !



Other than that I am happy with it, apart from you have to be careful when pushing the drawers back as they twist and get stuck !
