“Bought the Giant Boulder for wifes birthday 2 days...”

Bought the Giant Boulder for wifes birthday 2 days ago,had to go back to have new back wheel and pads fitted cos they were skimming metal off the rims somehow!Also gear adjustment and a problem with rear derailler hitting the casette when going over bumps.Is this normal?Still love the bike though.Hopefully last of its teething problems.If not I,ll have to buy her a Trek!
