Our FDW60 has finally died after three and a half years, I am not even going to bother trying to have it repaired, Ikea have a perfectly adquate and triple 'A' rated machine for £189. My Hotpoint has been quirky from just after the warranty expired, with the indicator lights either flashing erratically, several programme indicators illuminating at once or more often than not, failing to indicate at all. We found that by using the re-set button to cancel erratic or multiple lights, we could then count the button presses to set the machine at the desired programme. In terms of quality of washing, it actually hasn't been too bad but for a machine as expensive as this (at the time we bought it) to only have a one year warranty is quite poor.
