I stayed at the Duke of Cornwall for two nights recently whilst visiting family in Plymouth. I was especially impressed by the service, the staff are calm and professional, and still have a friendly smile even when they are rushed off their feet. The room I stayed in was nicely furnished and immaculately clean. The Duke has a varied restaurant menu, mainly using local produce and I had the sea bass, which was sensational. If I had to pick one fault, I would say that the shower in my en-suite bathroom wasn't very powerful...but I'm clutching at straws now :) All in all I think I received a very good service far exceeding what you would expect from a 3 star hotel.
