The Ecotec 16b(?)boiler operated without obvious fault during it's first winter though we found the controls less han straightforward and noted that the interior & exterior temperatures indicated were higher(2 degrees +) than other guages indicated.

This season on turning on the C.heating we've never managed to do more than get lukewarm pipes despite the visit of an engineeer who confessed to not being familiar with our Vaillant control panel.

I was disturbed to hear that his senior engineer had declined to have the option of our energy optimizing sensor fitted to his own home system and to hear that other remote controlled units frequently failed after the first few months. Our system continues to do no more than heat our hot water.

We await the second visit from the engineer in a weeks time. Numerous phone calls, lost time at work and huge frustration.

Just what's needed in late November.
