Maplin are utterly appalling when things go wrong. My experiences echo another reviewer on the site. I purchased a Netgear wireless router/ modem from Maplin for £80. I got it home to discover that it didn't work so went back to the store to get it exchanged or refunded. But no, the smug bad mannered manager told me it had to go to be examined at head office and if they agreed it was faulty I would be issued with an exchange. I wanted a refund but no, read the terms and conditions on the bottom of the receipt, gloated the idiot behind the counter. It reminded me how long it was since I have had customer service this bad. And he kept me waiting for an hour while he had a meeting in the back room. Amazon is cheaper, has a great returns policy. If something goes wrong in Maplin you are on your own. Awful.
