POF doesn't have the toolsets required to refer to itself as a dating site. It's just a light weight version of myspace. ... which is a hookup site at best.

Most women are certainly in bargain hunting mode.

Most women just expect men to line up in their email queue to await approval.

Most women have a self image outside of what they could possibly reach.

Most women are not what they claim, so when guys they think they can get say hello, there isn't anything they can do about it, as they are not what they said they were. This partly explains why women won't initiate contact there too often as THEY know they are not what they say they are.

Some women claim to be looking for an equal then their profile clearly disagrees with that.

A lot of women complain in the forums about the guys they are meeting NOT being all that great ... yet they themselves are borderline.

All statistically claims of POF working well are carefully selected under the guise of partial or misinformation. I.E 18 million dates for their members /per year. There are 10 million profiles on POF. A decent number of dates for that number in normal life would closer to 50 million. Clearly the 18 million number is actually claiming the site doesn't work well. Facebook has that many dates, if not more per 10 million people.

At best, POF is just a place women use to get their ego boosted from guys looking for sex ... yeah, that's a little sad.

All that happens there is a larger percentage of women line up to taje their turn dating a small percentage of men ... yet most women are unaware that they are doing that. These are not necessarily the est men ... just the most active.

POF would be best described as a dating scam than anything else. There is nothing about POF they would indicate a dating site ... other than the fact POF says it's a dating site. You cab call a parking lot a dating site if you want ... there will be some people who meet there ... but it doesn't make it a dating site.

Quite a lot of women on the site are rude, ignorant also vulgar in their descriptions of what they are not looking for. I guess for shorter men, men with less hair, overweight men etc.

Most women are deluded in thinking that real men would actually line in their email queue, for a picture on the screen.

ANY and ALL claims of success from any people on that site in terms of a relationship are insignificant compared to the actual number of pepople on the site.

Most women are just looking to be entertained.

POF is a place where mostly average women go to feel desired.

Most women of POF don't understand what an ad is. IT isn't an application form for men to apply. It's what you do to PROVE your worthy of men to consider.

I have no idea about the men side other than myself. I'm reasonably open to what I would consider, even though I bring a lot to the table. I would not consider women that fit the characterization above to be worthy. It represents at least 80% of the POF population of women.
