In my experience, laptops direct are good if you can order online and the item is in stock. (but don't trust their website that it is in stock) If you have to deal with their customer service that's where the nightmare starts. e.g. for faults or any other issues with your order. I ordered a netbook from laptops direct which did not match the specification advertised on their website. So far it has taken over 2 weeks to get it collected and through the inspection process. I selected another netbook yesterday which they said is in stock with their supplier. I phoned back again today and the lastest I have been told is it will PROBABLY come into their warehouse today or tomorrow. This was suppose to be a birthday present that I need for next week. You would think ordering 3 weeks in advance would be more than enough. Not going to be enough in this case I would think.
