I phoned The Post Office three weeks before my policy ended to say I would not be renewing.
They have now taken over £400 off my credit card 'by mistake'.
It will apparently take them 7 working days to refund this money.
I asked for my credit card details to be removed from their system but they say THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE.

WARNING: If you have ever given your credit card details to The Post Office they will still have them!
Did they phone me back as promised.......NO.

    hi,
    after reading your review,call post office, and request to speak with a team leader and request your card details to be removed off the system, post office like any insurer have no right to keep hold of your card details, and if a customer asks for this to be removed there helpdesk dept will do this. if you get no joy with c/s advisor a team leader will arrange this for you. believe it or not, when a customer declines a renewal, you must say that you decline the renewal, or not wish to renew. some customers dont do this and say they are not happy with the renewal price, the policy still renews as you havent declined it.. madness. but def call them and request card details to be removed. also providing the c/s op issued the refund, ensure a team leader has authorised the refund as if they havent done this straight away thats why itll take upto 7days, if they have 3/5 days depending how fast your bank can process refund.
