Philips HD4644. This is the best kettle I have owned for years. The handle is extremely comfortable to use, essential with arthritic hands, and the spout is very well designed and does not dribble. There scale filter has a couple of nice features. There is a coarse grid of plastic behind the mesh filter which stops larger pieces of scale blocking the mesh, and the mesh filter itself is a small neat shape that you can drop into the kettle easily for de-scaling.
The kettle itself is well balanced to hold, and fills easily through the spout, even when using a jug.
My only grumble is that although there is a mini 0.8 litre version featured on Philips web site, the HD4609, which we would desperately like to buy for a frail elderly relative, I cannot find a supplier!
As far as I am concerned, this is my perfect kettle.
