I've only been with O2 Broadband for a few weeks, so I may post some comments in future months if I have any problems - but so far so good.

I switched from a BT Business package which cost £25 a month, to this which costs just over £7 a month - a great saving

The handover process was very smooth, the router was easy to set up and the service is good

I dont use the line for gaming or anything that requires consistent, high speed so I can't really comment about this area (which I know a few of the reviews have highlighted as an issue with O2)

I use it for general surfing, some media downloads and email usage - for which it has been excellent so far.

I had one problem, which ended up being that the router didnt like being plugged into an extension socket. So, I had to move the router from the top floor study down to the ground floor where the main BT socket is. Not a hassle for me, but for others it might be.

From reading other reviews, it appears that the contention ratio isnt great (ie people saying that during peak periods they get very poor speeds) and this was one of the areas that the BT Business Broadband product definitely wins on. However, if you're a relatively light user (ie not reliant on online gaming or very heavy media downloads) Id say the O2 Broadband product is spot on.

End of the day, you do generally get what you pay for and Im happy to pay less to get a service which may not be ideal for heavy downloading but still retains a great customer service element.

For me, its exactly what I need and as such I'd highly recommend it.
