Just got back from my first Ryanair trip to Malaga, Spain and have to say NEVER, NEVER again . Check-in was a nightmare Long queues and an unhelpful staff, so many fees that the total cost probably exceeded that of a regular airline.

I think you were unlucky, I use Ryanair from Prestwick at least 6 times a year and have never had the problems you state, ( Touch Wood ) my on time flights are 4 on time 1 early and one 30 mins late, you can't beat that.
