My personal experiences on Plenty Of Fish. I can't say it worked for me very well.

My age is 48 and I'm male. I was looking for females in London UK aged 35 to 45.

The site seems to be full of fake people of one kind or another.

I tried 2 different methods on this site.
Profile 1 with a photo.
Profile 2 without a photo.

Only a few replied to Profile 1 with a photo. (I am not an ugly guy).
And again only a few replied to Profile 2 without a photo.(photos made no real difference)

I also joined in the forum exchanges, but found that several posts were deleted. Looks like they have a small group in the UK forums that bump out anybody that have their own opinions. Complaining to moderators and even the site owner didn't resolve the forum problems. The forum posting exchange became a bit of a time waster in the end for me.

I closed my free account because:

POF has all the problems of any other free site but more so.
POF female profiles do not respond very often.
POF female profiles have a lot of fakes within them.
POF female photos (some) do not seem to match their age against the photo online
POF female profiles seem unable to confirm they are a real profile and person.
POF female profiles do not seem to be policed by the site at all.
POF experience: No dates at all. Very few can even voice chat on this site

A lot of the above can be said about Pay Dating Sites so its no bad thing that POF can supply the same for free.

The bottom line for me and POF then:

I tried POF and I will not bother with them again.

I will go back and try again on the large PAY DATING SITES as my previous experience on pay dating sites was superior to Plenty Of Fish.
