I have to say I have claimed a couple of times from Direct Line and had no problems, although last time their repairers took a..g..e..s. Mind you most companies probably use similar repairers. But when you get a renewal quote they load it heavily. Phone them up, ask for customer retention if they wont give you 25-30% off.
