Ordered a Samsung UE46B8000 46" LED on 13/10/2009 from Cheap Electicals for £1596.91. The payment was taken at the point of order. I then waited the obligatory 14 days without hearing anything before chasing the order as per the instructions on their website.
Once I did chase it up I was fobbed off and told that they could not confirm a delivery date. I explained that I had ordered it under the Samsung Eco Cash Back scheme and had to submit my £200 cash back claim by 31/11/2009. I asked them if they would honour the deal if they did not deliver the TV on time. They agrees on the phone but would not put it in writing despite several requests.
After 14 days of no contact and a further 7 days of being pushed from pillar to post I have cancelled my order. I have now purchased one from Crampton and Moore at a slightly more expensive price of £1668.34 and it is in stock and being delivered in the next 3 days (Clearly Crampton and Moore don't have any issues getting stock from Samsung).

    We can only pass information we receive from Samsung and it is not in our interest to 'fob off' as is claimed. We kept the customer informed, but suspect Crampton and More had stock as their price was significantly more than our's. We have been let down significantly by Samsung who have decided despite our Company paying them in advance to divert stock to High Street retailers as they have short supplies. As a result we have made it clear that Samsung Tv range will have significant delays. We only charged as we were advised by Samsung that this Tv was due in to us and the cancelled. We notified the customer and refunded as soon as we were made aware. We do apologise for the inconvenience caused.
