My wife had already booked a long weekend for us (me, wife our 5 year old son and my mum)at Pontins, Southport before I read the reviews. After reading some of them I almost cancelled. Rather than lose our money we went (30th Oct to 2nd Nov) and I am glad we did. We stayed in the Classic appartments which are one above the basic ones but not the most expensive ones. The rooms were clean, the beds were fine. Yes, the camp is dated and needs modernising but the accommodation was fine and the entertainments were very good and the Bluecoats were helpfull. The security staff were also friendly. We all enjoyed our stay, the beach was great and southport is close by. We would go back but maybe after some refurb has taken place.
