We met a representative at the airport. I remember him well; he was our meet and greet staff member of Car Hire U.K. and was extremely helpful, I would have provided a written compliment for this. However, like most people who have reviews in your column, we have also been burnt. We rented the car from Car Hire U.K. 3 weeks ago, and by reading your reviews I believe that like the rest we will also be pursuing our "still not received refund of deposit" for a long time to come. The way this company steals from its clients is illegal and immoral. I am surprised that they are allowed to operate at all when it is clear that they have a long established reputation this. I hope this warning helps to prevent someone else from becoming a victim like the rest of us. I wish I had known of the reputation of this company beforehand. Buyers beware- DO NOT USE CAR HIRE UK!!

    We were also burnt. Trying to obtain 70 pound fuel deposit. They claim car was returned empty and even printed out a false return form showing fuel tank "empty". The crooks and idiots did not notice that the form was printed out 2 months after the return - it had the printout date on top of the form. they then filled in the details by hand to justify their lie about the empty fuel tank. Wish we had checked here first before hiring a car from these parasites.
