I spotted the Johanna dress I chose in a magazine - it was the dream dress, and after looking and trying on others in different boutiques, I kept on returning to that advert and looking wistfully. It was my husband to be who told me to go for it, otherwise I'd regret it, he was right!
Going to Johanna was a really lovely experience. Wherever you go to try on dresses, you will find something that suits you there are hundreds of dresses for every shape. What makes the experience special is the attitude of the shop, of the assistants and the designer. They not only sell the dress, they make the creation and fitting of the dress a special experience, reivigorate the wedding dream and that dress will make you as the bride on the day. Johanna's team are down to earth, not pushy or snooty (as bridal shops can be) and above all honest. You were given time to discuss your thoughts and suggestions were made based on what you said, not what they wanted you to say. As a customer you were made to feel valued and special not just one of many - as so many of the more commercial boutiques make you feel.
The experience was intimate and extremely calming and I came away with faith in the team to produce me a stunning dress, which incidentally they did. Johanna fits in the middle bracket of prices when it comes to wedding dresses, and does give value for money. I just wish I could do it all over again!!!
