I just got back from a 3 day business trip at coco reef and I am going to be very very honest and straight forward about this. if you dont believe me message me and i will respond, i will even give you my number to call me. As soon as I entered the room when they brought me to the room it smelt like urine, I asked the guy who brought my bags up if I could get some air freshener, I never did get it. That night I went to take a shower and realized that only hot water worked and the water was scorching hot. I reported to front desk and no one came to check it. I had to fill the tub and wit until the water cooled to take a bath. The same thing happened to my friends in room 204, 206, 207 and 210. The next morning rain fell and water came gushing down into my room on the bed and the floor which flooded the room. I was in room 205 and my friend was in 206 and had the same problem. We reported to front desk about 7:15am and didn't get any room until approximately 2:45pm and no one could tell us what was happening during that time. When spoke with the duty manager (a tall dark lady with glasses), she lied to me saying a tree fell on the roof and that's why it leaked. I don't appreciate being lied to, I walked the hotel and trust me there was no tree that fell on any roof anywhere. But buckets were all over the lobby area as well when it was leaking (my room is a good distance away from the lobby). When I asked the lady how I would be compensated she said she can't upgrade my room because I didn't pay from my personal account that the government paid for my room (it was a business trip). As if the government money was not good enough. I told her that is unacceptable because she was giving me attitude as if I sabotaged my room and my friend's room. She said also there was no room to upgrade me to. I was upset and spoke to the bell boy when he was moving my luggage to a next room, only to find out that two other rooms other than me and my friends room was flooded as well land they were upgraded. Pissed at this point I went back downstairs to speak with this liar of a lady when told me very loudly and aggressively in the lobby in front of other guests, "well you could check out if you want". I had to walk away because I would have tripped bad bad. The next day want to get lunch at 2:30 and there was only one drumstick, two pieces of lamb and salad. Lunch was supposed to be from 12-3. At dinner the beef and pork smelt like bad like stale egg and we could not eat anything. Everything else was finished. And if you do happen to have tan or dark skin, the attitude you get is that you are not good enough to be at their hotel. So for those of you who are thinking of going to this hotel, I would say, yes the surroundings are beautiful, but everything else stinks, it would surely wreck you experience in beautiful Tobago. This was the worst experience I ever had in my life!
