I have been on Champix for 20 days and quit on the 7th day. I could not believe how it worked, I was not a heavy smoker, spprox. 6 cigarettes a day but have smoked for 30 years. I didn't think I had cravings and only had the habit. Just after a few days it didn't bother me not to have a cigarette, sometimes you do think about it but I guess it all comes down to will power. Side effects I had and still do is the nausea in the morning but eating a banana helps take it away. I dream all night and the craziest dreams.One other side effect that I have is retaining water and was wondering if anyone has had the same side effect. I can be around people who smoke & it does not bother me & it is sure nice to say "no thankyou, I have quit" when someone offers you a cigarettes.
