I HATE NATWEST!! I signed up for a Natwest Student Account as I wanted a free railcard. DON'T BOTHER!! Firstly, it took about 3 weeks to get all the information sent through the post as they send your pin, account details etc ALL separately. When I signed up, I asked for all my standing orders to be transfered from my other account (don't do this). It took ages for my online activation code to arrive so I couldn't check my account for a while, but when I did the standing orders had not been transfered. I went to the branch & the woman said that the account hadn't even been set up properly, and I also explained to her that I didn't want any standing orders set up. When this was done, I realised later that they had cancelled my standing orders on my other bank account but not set any up on Natwest! Argh! Now I've just found out that they have set up a direct debit for my rent! I'm leaving Natwest on Monday as it's caused me so much stress, and I advise anyone to just use a regular account & if you're desperate for a railcard then just buy one.
