I insured online with this company on a fully comp basis and paid my deposit, being automatically that documents would arrive in the post, they did not. I contacted the company to ask if the direct debit had been set up correctly as I had received no email confimation, I was told that it had and that documents would arrive in the post for my signature, they did not. I emailed the company no fewer than six times (this is their preferred method of communication, or so it states on their website) stating that the direct debit forms had not arrived and I wanted to pay in full to ensure cover, they did not get back to me. I rang them no fewer than four times and no-one ever answered the phone. I honestly began to wonder if this was a bogus company, so contacted Gibralta Financial Services Commission to complain, they requested my permission to share my complaint with 1stQuote, which I was overjoyed to do, and - hey presto- they contacted me via email the following day, apologising for the fact I had not been able to contact them previously! The bottom line is, if you cannot contact this company just to pay your premium, what chance in a claim? I cancelled my policy.
