“good points: metallica brings yet another great album...”

★★★★☆

written by metallica666 on 29/10/2009

good points: metallica brings yet another great album that sounds great and has depth. also, this may be their most important album. fighting among the band and rehabilitation for james were inspiration for most of the songs and really allowed them to release their feelings. From fast, thrash songs like Frantic, to heavy goodness like St. Anger, and and beautiful depth in The Unnamed Feeling, this album should most definetly be respected among fans.

bad points: Understandably, the band was going through a lot of turmoil in the making of this album, but after awile the lyrics get repetitive. The lyrics dont really have any melody or mesh together very much and have them play the same verse three times in a row for eight minutes; it gets old really fast.

general rating: **** out of ***** While the album has some weak points, these can be pushed aside as any understanding fan should. it is a shame that this album isn't respected by more fans as this is one of the few albums metallica put their whole heart and soul into.
