really annoyed I had to give a star rating and couldn't give a big fat zero. Lloydstsb must have one of the worst Internet banking facilities in the UK. Seemingly endless problems are arising because of their so called security checks and attempts at preventing Money Laundering. Who made them the Serious Fraud Squad? Do they think they are the Police? Of course it is all done under the pretence that it is for my own safety. Why am I ranting today? Well my daughter and son in law serve abroad in the Armed Forces. The son in law transfered £1900 into my account as a deposit on a Campervan. Easy, it was going from one Lloydstsb account into another. I then had to transfeer it into an HSBC account. ALARM BELLS RINGING NOW. MUST BE FRAUD! That will take 4 days. I've been a customer of the bank before it was even known as Lloydstsb. Before it was Lloyds. Now I'm one of Britain's most wanted? Never mind some smart alex (his name was Kevin) at the call centre tells me it's for my own good. I could be someone else ! I look around, no it's still me, not some master criminal! Anyway I've answered about 6 stupid questions so you are able to tell it's me. No need for that Sir! CAN I SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR. No Sir! I WANT TO COMPLAIN. Write in then Sir! WHAT'S THE EMAIL ADDRESS? No email address Sir.
So that's where technology is taking Lloydstsb. I can't use the facilty until they say I can. Doesn't matter if you are who you say you are. Doesn't matter if it's your money or not. Doesn't matter if you NEED the money to be transfered at that point. if you don't like it, you can get a piece of paper, write on it, put it inside another piece of paper (envelope) go to a post office and buy a stamp, Shove it in the post box so a postman can come along in his van and sent this paperwork to somewhere in a PO Box. VERY GREEN LLOYDSTSB, well done. Always looking after the environment, oh and of course, always taking care of your customers. Now I transfer the money to my son's account. It's in the same branch. He's going to withdraw the cash, (trying hard not to get robbed) he will then walk the length of the High Street, to put it into the other Bank. Thing is, they tell him he can't withdraw the money because they don't have his signature on file. Yes you do he says. I have three accounts here. No Sir, can you get your passport. of course being english he doesn't carry it around with him all day long so has to return home, get his passport and then go back to the bank. ISN'T THAT WHY PHONE AND INTERNET BANKING WAS INVENTED? Are Lloydstsb wanting us all to go backwards? Is this lousy service the reason why the bank has had rotten results recently. If the heads of the Bank ever read this be sure they will not lose the slightest bit of sleep. They Just don't Care should be their Motto. HINT...FIND A PROGRESSIVE TECHNOLOGICALY UNCHALLENGED BANK, NOT LLOYDSTSB. I thank you.
