We ordered a Hoover Washer / Dryer from the Comet website, which was easy to use and arrange delivery. Although everything was delivered and installed OK the issues arose when we discovered that the machine was faulty.

The washing machine started leaking so we immediately 'phoned Comet. They arranged for an 'engineer' to come round, however he incorrectly blamed our outlet pipe instead of actually spotting that the machine was leaking. In order to get an exchange we were told that another engineer would need to call out before a replacement machine would be supplied.

We rejected the goods under the Distance Marketing Regulations (as purchased online) and the Sale of Goods Act (not fit for purpose) and Comet are still to arrange to collect it. GOOD NEWS though - found the same item cheaper from Currys and managed to use a discount from vouchercodes!
