Flying with this airline is like being packed in a sardine can. The seat are very uncomfortable; they do not recline very much. First Class is no one sitting in the middle of three seats.
The customer service at check in is unfriendly, the supervisor's explainations defied logic. We were forced to check our bags whhich we normally carry on and actually carried on in the first leg of the flight. We were not allowed to put our bags under our seat on the airplane which made no sense. The supervisor in Quito kept telling us that when the plane is full you can't put your bags under the seat in front of you. We we told the reason we had to check our bags is because the plane was full. When we arrived at the gate we saw many people with two large carry on bags; some passengers had three. One person had two large boxes. The locks on our suitcase was removed. LAN will not replace them. They refused to provide a claim form. This is one airline I don't want to fly again and do not recommend it.
