Would I reccomend Legoland to a friend? Probably not. We got three tickets from our clubcard, so only had to pay for a childs entry- nearly £30. Value for money- as a day out for a family of four £30 was too expensive. I appreciate that they cannot control the roads outside, but it took nearly an hour to do the last mile, 30 minutes inside the grounds getting into a car park. The queue to get the ticket 45 minutes, so half the day already gone. Once inside the queues for the good rides were over 1 1/2 hrs, and with kids under 10 this amount of hanging around is not good. We managed 4 ok rides- the kids really wanted some of the others that would have been more exciting but the waits for them were too long. Most people around us were complaining of similar. The place was run by a group of what appeared to be 14 year olds- someone is obviosly skimping on the wages, not that we needed to talk to them. The food was ok, but well overpriced, and again value for money was not good- but you expect that in a theme park as they have a captive audience.
So, park closed at 6, and we walked back to the car. The kids managed to watch a whole film on our DVD player before we got out onto the road, seriously over an hour to get out of car park D and then another 30+ minutes to clear the site itself. It took longer to get out than the entire 80 mile trip home at the end of rush hour!
Funnily enough with what little we saw the kids did have a good day but the park was overcrowded, and as someone who works in public safety I would not have wanted to become ill here- you would get seriously worse before an ambulance could get to you- and if there was a fire well, expect numerous casualties.
Oh, the views were quite nice and we did see ther new Wembley- but not worth the price. Would we go again, free tickets and taking our own food would be ok, then I would find a nice place outside to eat on the way home.

I wonder if Legoland read this, or are even bothered about it as they are minting this for all it is not really worth.
