Best general purpose bike on the market: Looks great, more than adequate performance, uber reliable. I have 30000 plus miles on mine w/o as much as a cough. Post 2003 XLs have a rubber mounted motor and are SMOOTH. Gets a bit cramped two-up on long trips, but solo is unbeatable for any purpose from commuting to touring. NOT your dad's oil leaking, vibrating, high maintenance monster. The Sportster is the worlds longest running production bike with 50 some years on the road - the bugs are definitely worked out
