The Philips is my first laptop and in general I am happy with it.
Good: Very quiet to run, is easy to use, has plenty USB points in convenient locations, screen quality is excellent.
Bad: Sound quality very poor - you definitely need external speakers. Left and Right mouse buttons still work but are temperemental. Battery life not brilliant.
General Comments: Looks nice on the outside - sleek, not so much when you open it up. Most of my friends and family have different makes and to be honest when I need to replace my laptop I would probably not go for a Philips again. Spare parts i.e. battery are really hard to get hold of and compared to other laptops this one looks a bit flimsy. Having said that, in the 18 months I've had mine, I haven't had any major problems. In general good value for money.
