I've been flying for a number of years as my home is not in the US but in Europe. I've used several airlines during my travels and never had any reservations about flying as most companies did a good job.
I was moving from Hawaii to San Antonio, Tx and needed to find the cheapest tickets which turned out only US Airways had at the time. I have never flown with this company before so i researched them out a little bit. I read the reviews on this website and was shocked and literally scared to go on the plane after reading some of what people here have said... Lost bags, old planes making noises, uncomfortable this and that, rude staff... so on and so forth.
To make a long story short my trip went without ANY problems. The staff was very nice and courteous. My bags arrived to my destination with me even though i had a layover. Yes you have to pay for your food, but that's the case with almost all airlines in the US. I believe that the only time you don't have to pay for food is if you are flying intercontinental. I am always cold in the cabins so i always make sure to bring something with me like a blanket or a warm shirt. I don't think they provided a blanket, but i didn't bother to ask as i am always prepared.
All in all for me this was a pleasant experience and i would definitely fly with this company again.
