- Value for money

My husband and our two children (age 3 and 15 mths) have just returned from Primrose Valley staying for 5 days (19th - 23rd Oct). I was rather anxious about the accommodation and its cleanliness (having read certain reviews on here and other sites) as we only booked standard. However, I need not have worried as it surpassed our expectations! It was a bright, spotlessly clean, spacious and modern 3 bedroom caravan with all the amenities you could wish for - Perfect for us!
The park itself was nice and easy to navigate. The arcades were a big hit with our two - especially the Tea cups ride! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I found all the food/drinks competitively priced. The shop was a little on the expensive side but only by a few pence (no where near the £150 extra like one review stated!)
Fish & Chip shop was lovely (Fish, a good sized portion of chips and peas £5.95), Burger King and Papa John's Pizza (Very tasty!) both have good family offers. Mash and Barrel offers a great pub lunch (2 meals for £8.99) we didn't eat there but others raved about the food.
The kids entertainment was fab for my 3yr old and he was glued to the 'Zoo Troop Show' from start to finish in Jesters Bar. There were also morning play sessions that both my boys could take part in (Free Toddlers Cubs Club Age 1-4yrs) which they painted, built and played with lots of different toys.
Down sides: Swimming Pools were rather small - although great if you like having a BIG (I mean BIG!) bucket of water land on your head every 4 mins! Both my boys loved Splash Adventure pool but my 3yr old was disappointed he couldn't go down the slide - even with an adult (Meanies!) (Lockers are 20p each and you don't get this money back - but it's only a small amount to pay out, for 4 of us we only used 1 locker)
Fun Fair and Crazy Golf was a big disappointment and over priced (We've been to Butlins where fair is included in cost of holiday and this beats Haven's poor effort hands down.) It looked old and tatty. So we decided to go to nearby Flamingo Land for a fantastic day instead and spent the same amount of money!
I would definitely go back to this park and recommend it to others.

Centre Parcs say that is was due to refurbishment, I beleive it was due to labour costs at this quiet time of the year. Albeit still great choice in the eating department.
