Bought it on a Tuesday from Hughes Direct (avoid! they started quibbling after I reported a problem 1 day after purchase, and have given me endless grief).

It was delivered on Thursday. After the first couple of loads I was horrified to see water on the floor, from just under the front left . Checked the connections, all OK; checked the filter on the left bottom, all dry; must be the machine. Seemed to start after I used the dryer, but continued a slow leak even when water isolated.

I ran a small load of socks, and then tried to dry them. Not dry after an hour of "drying"! (The John Lewis website says these condensing type of dryers leave the laundry feeling wet, but that it is merely "surface". Yeah, right, just what I want). Repeated today, and after 2 hours still not dry. Face it; the dryer doesn't work.

The manual is poorly organised; you want to know what to do first, and instead have to jump to the back, then the front.

The machine has an LCD panel. 24 hours after receipt the display went dark. You could just see that it was trying to display something. It seemed to have reset to German. I set it to English, and cranked up the brightness and contrast, to little effect. 24 hours after that, it started working again!

The front seal around the door tended to have foam left in it, or water, depending on the type of wash.

Previously I had a Hoover Washer/Dryer (with real vented tumble dryer) for 22 years -- from the days when Hoover was a real company, and not just a brand name for Candy cr**. How I wish I still did!

The wash quality seems fine. The idea of an LCD in a washing machine is probably a mistake. The machine weighs a ton; it is twice the weight of my old one. It is quiet to run, apart from an odd grinding noise which is mentioned in the trouble-shooting as "normal" (the beta testers must have screamed about this!). Because it takes only a cold water feed, it takes longer to run than one which takes both hot and cold. I think the washer is probably good; but... I clearly got a lemon here.
