My husband and I took my parents to Meadowgreen as they wanted to rehome a dog instead of going to a breeder. We turned up and were able to take a couple of dogs out. We chose a lovely Border Terrier girl as she was manageable for my parents and she was friendly. We were told by the owner that we could have her but as they didn't want to travel to do a house check, could my dad email some photos of the property so they could see it was okay. My parents did this willingly and were told they could pick the dog up. We travelled the 60 mile round trip to pick her up and were told we couldn't have her anymore and that we would have to come back in a weeks time if we really wanted her. The staffs' attitude was lousy and the poor dogs were in concrete floored kennels with just a few pieces of newspaper to lay on. Disgusting attitude from people who like to portray themselves as being saintly. Needless to say my parents went to a breeder who was fantastic and friendly. We were just heartbroken we couldn't rehome a dog who would have had a super life at my parents home.
