I bought this 3 months ago and am amazed at the amount of water it takes out of the air. I have to empty it every day. I dont find it particulary noisy but probably depends on what level of noise bothers you. I have it on all night in the hallway with all doors ajar and can sleep okay. I amd pleased with this buy and would have no problem recommending it. Only downfall instruction manual could be better.
