My Mum placed an order with B&Q in January 2009 for a Kitchen, bathroom and new flooring throughout her rental house. It was paid for up front in January. Original delivery date passed, then lots of stuff missing, rh bath instead of lh bath, you get the picture. Work didn't start until April(!!) when an external team was contracted by B&Q to complete the job. They messed it up completely, didn't leave expansion gaps around the flooring so it all buckled, worktop in the kitchen on an angle sloping down, pencil marks left all over the doors, panels missing, threshold strips stuck down with silicone, beading missing, NO underlay for the wood flooring...the whole thing was slap dash. B&Q sent out an inspector who said the whole thing had to be re-done. All floors ripped up, but new floors not delivered on time so left in a right mess. We are now near the end of October 2009 and the job is still not finished as the man they sent to fix the mess has not been paid by his contractor as B&Q haven't paid him, and my Mum now 9 months down on potential rent income! Plus all the petrol money spent to-ing and fro-ing to the house and back which is 40 minutes away from where my Mum lives.

Do not touch them with a barge pole!
