I smoked 20 a day for 10 years. On day 11 of champix, I quit on day 8 although I had planned on quitting on day 12. The thought of smoking makes me feel sick. Have had very little side effects, I did suffer from nightmares the first 3-4 days and felt sick if I took the tablet on an empty stomach (which the nurse did advise me) I was also very tired all the time from day 3 - 8 but I am blaming this on smoking whilst taking the tablets as I have been my energetic self since day 9!
On day 11 now and have had little cravings, only time I have had cravings is when I have been bored so I have kept myself busy, and the cravings were nothing like they were when I was on patches and easy to get through.
Definatley 10/10 for the first fortnight, although I am slightly worried when I start coming off the tablets at week 12, I hope the side effects are the same or even better less than the side effects of starting the tablets.
