I have been with O2 since 2003 and never had any complaints until now. When I phoned to renew my contract again, they seem to have priced themselves out of the competative market. I wanted a fair deal for my loyalty, nothing for free, I dont expect that. So when I was asked to pay £15 more per month for a slightly above average phone, I didnt think so. I pointed out that I could get the same phone from another network for a fiver less than I had been paying. I was told that I paid for the UK based customer service centre. Then I was told, why not go to a sim only plan if youre short of money. (pardon me, havent I been paying (£30 per month for my contract plus £25 each for my teenage son and daughter?) Then you can get a handset for under £20 and being with O2 was worth every penny as the leading provider. I didnt like the attitude one bit and told him so and I told him to shove his 'fantastic idea for those short of money right where the sun didnt shine'. I informed him that I would be making sure I wouldnt be contributing anything towards the fantastic and rather rude call centre and cancelled all 3 contracts. I wouldnt touch O2 with a barge poll, unless I used one to push that little t*at of his high horse. O2 might be smug now but I do hope they fall down very hard and very soon. What can I expect for only being a customer for the best part of nine years.

    I found this review very helpful because i have experienced the same treatment from O2. I was told exactly the same things and feel as if i may have talked to the same sales representative as this guest. I was shocked at the audacity of the rep and am actively searching an alternative mobile phone provider.

    Anyone who is looking to upgrade their O2 mobile should take heed.
