I ordered a Tom Tom Satalite navigation system from my brothers birthday. When it did not arrive I telephoned their customer service department to be greated by their indian call centre and someone called Alan. Although perhaps Alan was not his name.

On asking why the item had not arrived, I was told that they had no record of me having ordered anything. Ah Ah I said but you have deducted money from my credit card. When I said this I was informed that the product was with the courier awaiting delivery and to give it a few more days.

This I did when the product did not arrive again, I re-phoned again didnt get Alan but got Barry; met with same response that there was order and I had ordered anything, went through information again about already taking payment. Barry then informed me the item had been deleivered to an address not the same as the billing address. And was told that I should retrieve the item myself from this property. When I refused the peson on the other told me it was my fault as I had given the wrong address, when I said that this was not the case they just hung up.

I have tried the email approach, however as everyone who tries this with this company they never respond.

As a last resort I have contacted my credit card company as the price was over £100 for the refund and allow them to deal with Ideal World. At the same time my credit card have suppended any payments from my card to Ideal World.

My advice to anyone thinking of dealing with company, is to forget it. Go spend your money at QVC whose customer service is a million times better.
